BATHROOM

  1. Low-flow shower head
  2. Low-flush toilet (no need to buy a new one – you can also put a full bottle of water in your toilet tank!). Or try a composting toilet.
  3. Turn off the faucet while you brush your teeth
  4. Use phosphate-free, environmentally friendly products. Look for the Lake Friendly sticker.

 

KITCHEN

  1. Low-flow faucet
  2. Save extra water to water your plants
  3. Turn off the faucet while you wash dishes and rinse foods
  4. Drink filtered tap water instead of bottled water.
  5. Keep a bottle of water in the fridge so you have cold water instead of running the tap until it turns cold.
  6. Use phosphate-free, environmentally friendly products. Look for the Lake Friendly sticker.

 

YARD

  1. Use a rain barrel
  2. Avoid chemical pesticides and fertilizers (compost instead)
